A Comprehensive Lay Certification Program
In order to give our parishes the best opportunities and nourishment for growth, we need more trained and certified Lay Leadership. The five-year-old Diaconate program has greatly enriched our shared ministry by training 28 people for servant ministry. More resources are now needed for Lay Leadership. This program would educate and train individuals to serve in their home parishes in Youth Ministries, Christian Education, and Spiritual Formation.

A number of persons would also be trained to cover the entire diocese in these fields:
• Evangelism
• Strategic Planning
• Stewardship
• Small Church Ministries

FACTS:
• New opportunities for Lay Leadership will significantly support local parishes where they need it the most.
• Parishes will benefit from the counsel and resources trained individuals can provide.
• Most congregations need the support that this program can provide.
